Tra Vinh, June 2023 – Bel Vietnam launched the Afforestation project of one hectare of Sonneratia Caseolaris mangrove trees in Nhi hamlet, My Long Nam commune, Cau Ngang district, Tra Vinh province.

With the mission of fighting against climate change, this campaign will greatly contribute to a more sustainable environment. Through this 01 – hectare mangrove project, Bel Vietnam decided to plant Sonneratia Caseolaris for its impressive adaptability in mangrove areas, high vitality and resistance to natural disasters such as waves, storms, land erosion, etc…

In addition, 60 Bel's employees participated in planting 500 Rhizophora Apiculata mangrove trees for better communities. On this trip, Bel Vietnam also awarded 40 school bags to disadvantaged students as motivation.

Project summary: Bel VN funds planting 2,500 Sonneratia Caseolaris mangrove trees in 2023 and the caretaking in the next three years. During the project cycle, udner the authorization by Bel VN, MangLub VN is responsible for planting, and caretaking to ensure the required survival rate. The project will be handed over to the local government at the end of 2026 or early 2027 with the minimum 80% survival rate. The project also creates about 50 jobs to local people in four years.
