Tra Vinh, July 2022 – SeedtoShip – Fortomorrow Land is the official name that Forto Vietnam gave to its reforestation project in 2022. By authorizing the implementation to MangLub VN Social Enterprise, the company shows its care to the coastal environment by funding to plant one hectare of Rhizhophora Apiculata in Ban islet.
The project is categorized as the reforestation one, whose budget is covered in four years from 2022 to 2026. The planting method is to mix the Rhizophora A. trees to the islet where the main mangrove type is Sonneratia Caseolaris has been growing there.
Educational aspect:
It plans to make mangrove education simpler and more fun by featuring the Rhizophora A. trees in the form of comic story, attracting more children readers.
The comic book shall be named as “Rhizophora Apiculata Family” in a series of mangrove story.
About the project location:
Ban islet’s total area is 97.67 hectares with a mangrove coverage of 60.64 hectares. Bần is not as populated as the other islets in the province. A few local people have been living here and make a living by farming aquaculture. The islet is said to be emerged over ten years ago, playing a protecting role for the mainlaind. However, it has a diversity of flora and fauna system, especially abundance in mangroves, making it an ideal natural habitat.
