
BEL VIETNAM: A TREE IN HAND - 2024







🌱On July 12, 2024, 53 Bel VN staffs joined the event of raising awareness on trash negative effects to the coastal environment with the community at Nhì hamlet, My Long Nam commune. The team also handed 8 trash bins to eight local schools at the event, and collected the trashes with local people:
My Long Nam Primary School (Nhi hamlet): 1 trash bin;
My Long Nam Primary School (Ba hamlet): 2 trash bins;
My Long Nam Kindergarten (Nhut B hamlet): 1 trash bin;
My Long Nam Kindergarten (Ba hamlet): 1 trash bin;
Nguyen Van Cong Secondary School (Tu hamlet): 2 trash bins;
Cultural Center (Nhi hamlet): 1 trash bin.
🌱The campaign is a part of the 4-year project “A Tree in Hand” launched in 2023. The project funded planting 2,500 Sonneratia Caseolaris mangrove trees along the riverbank of Nhì hamlet, My Long Nam commune.
OTHER MPE TOURS

With the mission of contributing to the “green peace”, “carbon reduction” globally, on May 10, 2023, the team SK Innovation arrived at Giong Trom hamlet, Long Toan commune of Duyen Hai town to plant 1000 Rhizophora Apiculata mangrove trees at the shrimp farm of Mr. Le Van Tran, and organize the educational activity at the primary school of Vo Thi Quy.


With the mission of fighting against climate change, this campaign will greatly contribute to a more sustainable environment. Through this 01 – hectare mangrove project, Bel Vietnam decided to plant Sonneratia Caseolaris for its impressive adaptability in mangrove areas, high vitality and resistance to natural disasters such as waves, storms, land erosion, etc…


On July 1st, 2023, 21 female students of Ewha Womans University planted 500 Rhizophora Apiculata mangrove trees at the shrimp farm of Mr. Nguyen Van Y, Giong Oi hamlet, Long Toan commune, Duyen Hai town. This is the second field trip of the Ewha university since 2020. In spite of a womans university, Ewha has been the pioneers in the social activities and environmental protection.


Tra Vinh - April 10, 2023, the team of 26 members from the international port of GEMALINK implemented a very meaningful activity: planting 300 Rhizophora Apiculata manggrove trees at the farm of Mr. Le Van Buol, a shrimp farmer at Long Toan commune (Duyen Hai district, Tra Vinh province).
