
SK INNOVATION: 2023 THE MANGROVE REFORESTATION IN TRA VINH, VIETNAM







🌱With the mission of contributing to the “green peace”, “carbon reduction” globally, on May 10, 2023, the team SK Innovation arrived at Giong Trom hamlet, Long Toan commune of Duyen Hai town to plant 1000 Rhizophora Apiculata mangrove trees at the shrimp farm of Mr. Le Van Tran, and organize the educational activity at the primary school of Vo Thi Quy.
🌱SK Innovation just approved the 2023 reforestation plan of 38 ha in Tra Vinh, Vinh Long, Soc Trang. The plan includes 22ha of planting Rhizophora Apiculata at the shrimp farms in Duyen Hai. And this is also the first time that the SK Innovation team planted mangroves at a shrimp farm, which will promote the understanding of shrim farming and mangrove benefits to the shrim farming. In addition, the activity is a part of the efforts supporting green agriculture, reduction of carbon, and response to climate change.
🌱Duyen Hai district & town are the leading places of aquaculture farming of Tra Vinh province. In recent years, in order to respond to the climate change at the large scale, Tra Vinh government has always prioritized the economic development harmonizing to the nature and the environment. Therefore, such SK Innovation’s reforestation activities are always supported and welcomed by the local government.
🌱On the same day, SK Innovation team organized a very successful event with 150 students of Vo Thi Quy primary school in Long Toan commune. The event focused on mangrove topic, and planting trees around the school yard by the students and the team. Through this activity, the students can understand the importance of trees to human’s health and the Earth. The SK Innovation team gave 150 school bags, 06 trash bins, and 03 scholarship to three students. The day shows that environmental protection is not the sole mission of any nation or any person.
🌱On May 11, 2023, the team will pay a visit to the mangrove forests in Cau Ngang district where the company has sponsored reforestation plans from 2020.
OTHER MPE TOURS

On July 12, 2024, 53 Bel VN staffs joined the event of raising awareness on trash negative effects to the coastal environment with the community at Nhì hamlet, My Long Nam commune. The team also handed 8 trash bins to eight local schools at the event, and collected the trashes with local people


With the mission of fighting against climate change, this campaign will greatly contribute to a more sustainable environment. Through this 01 – hectare mangrove project, Bel Vietnam decided to plant Sonneratia Caseolaris for its impressive adaptability in mangrove areas, high vitality and resistance to natural disasters such as waves, storms, land erosion, etc…


On July 1st, 2023, 21 female students of Ewha Womans University planted 500 Rhizophora Apiculata mangrove trees at the shrimp farm of Mr. Nguyen Van Y, Giong Oi hamlet, Long Toan commune, Duyen Hai town. This is the second field trip of the Ewha university since 2020. In spite of a womans university, Ewha has been the pioneers in the social activities and environmental protection.


Tra Vinh - April 10, 2023, the team of 26 members from the international port of GEMALINK implemented a very meaningful activity: planting 300 Rhizophora Apiculata manggrove trees at the farm of Mr. Le Van Buol, a shrimp farmer at Long Toan commune (Duyen Hai district, Tra Vinh province).
