Threats to the Sonneratia Caselaoris

In spite of its benefits, the SC specifically and the mangroves generally is facing a decrease at an alarming speed.

The reasons are named below:
The world population has been increasing, which causes a stress on living space.
Economic benefits from transfering mangrove forests to artifical shrimp ponds, or other aquaculture things. Chemical fertilizers from shrimp farming spoil the land and water.

Other economic benefits such as wood & fruit exploitation are for other productions.
